Cumberland Officials Appointed to FA Women’s Cup This Weekend

Trio of match officials appointed to tie between Penrith and Tranmere Rovers.

Cumberland FA is delighted to have received the news that a trio of local referees have been appointed by The FA for this weekend’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup Third Qualifying Round.

Paul Stephenson (Workington) will referee Penrith’s tie against Tranmere Rovers on Sunday 13 October (2pm KO), and will be assisted by Penrith officials Mark Stewart and Claire Hebdige.

Speaking on the trio’s appointment, Cumberland FA Referee Development Officer, Scott Taylor, said: “As always, these early round FA competition appointments are great news for the County FA, and reflects the hard work and commitment shown by our grassroots referees.

“I know that I am always saying how extremely proud I am when our match officials receive FA appointments, but I genuinely am. It’s a huge reward for them, and they should be pleased to be representing the county while wearing their Cumberland FA badge with pride.”

Best of luck to all three on Sunday.
